Yes, use a hoop! I have a couple you can borrow if you want to try it.

What a great idea. The bed looks so pulled together! I have a 12″ hand quilting hoop I picked up in a thrift store. Now that I’ve used it for awhile I plan to purchase a 16″. I have to keep moving the hoop a lot which is why I would buy a larger diameter. The hoops are quite substantial and I would think would work for what you’re doing.

I love your quilt idea. It makes life so much easier than trying to quilt a twin quilt. Your pillow case turned our great too. I love that fireman material!

both the quilt and the pillowcase turned out great! what a neat way to decorate a boy’s room. very cute!!!

(and is that a little matching trim along the edge of the comforter?)

What a great idea! If I see them, I’m going to pick some up. In a few years the girls will have matching twin beds, so this will be perfect.

what a great idea. And yes sometimes too when I add the cost of a handmade quilt I kind of shudder. BUT that is a lovely idea. And the firetruck fabric is very cute. Fire trucks and everything ‘fire-fighterish’ is very ‘cool’ at the moment.

In answer to your question I only put batting inside the coasters. It’s plenty enough to soak through the condensation and the odd over spill – and to protect from the heat of a hot drink. And they wash really easily too.

Now, I thought this is why we don’t ask children what they want…isn’t that how they end up wearing batman and robin costumes to church????

Ouch! I can’t imagine doing a project like that, I would give up. But you did a fantastic job, and it all coordinates in a very cute bed set.
