Anni Rose Quilt

I’m in love with this patchwork design!  This is the 4th baby quilt I’ve made with it.  Simple rectangles that are large enough to show off some pretty prints.  Anni Rose 2Anni Rose 3Anni Rose 4Anni Rose Quilt

And a lovely ruffle.

I love the ruffle on the edge! Any chance you can show us how it’s done?

Yes, I’d love to! I haven’t had a lot of time for tutorials so I’ll just explain it here in case I never actually get a tutorial done. 🙂

I quilt the top to a layer of batting, then I quilt the bottom to a layer of batting. I stitch the ruffle to the top, then stitch the top to the bottom, right sides together with the ruffle in between – much like making a pillow cover. Leave an opening to turn and topstitch through all the layers all the way around, about 3/8″ in from the ruffle, closing the opening up as you stitch.

      I hope this makes sense!

It absolutely does! And, it sounds easy, too. Quilting the 2 sides separately is a brilliant idea. Thanks for replying so quickly with an explanation!
